VoIP free phone calls app download from skype viber

Viber vs Skype – Download the Better One to Make Free VOIP Calls

Making long distance calls will no longer end up lightening your purse.

Whether it is a business call or a personal call, the experience of making calls through the VOIP technology has made the world a smaller place. There are several players in the VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) space. However, the top two contenders that deserve a mention are Viber and Skype. Skype has been around for a longer time, but technology soothsayers say that Viber, though a relatively newer player in the market, has the potential to overtake Skype in years to come. If you are confused about which VOIP service to go for, read through the below comparison and make up your mind.

Why Go for Viber?

This new player in the VOIP space offers some tough competition to Skype. Though earlier this app was only integrated with your mobile phone, it has recently launched its desktop version. Since Viber is linked to your unique mobile number, the recipient can see the number of the caller. This makes the communication more genuine and authentic. Hence, this is more suitable for business communication. Experts say that Viber offers more competitive rates on calling over Skype in several countries. Since Viber has been designed keeping mobile users in mind, you can choose Viber over Skype if you plan to make most of your VOIP calls through your mobile phone. You can seamlessly synch your mobile contacts with Viber. You can also use Viber for chats.

Why Stick to Skype?

This giant has been around for years and looks like it is here to stay. You can seamlessly synch your Skype contacts with your Facebook contacts. Your account is linked to your email id and can be accessed through your mobile phone, tablet, or desktop. Unlike Viber, it allows the users to engage in good quality video calling. Since Skype has been predominantly designed for desktops and tablets, you can choose Skype over Viber for Voice and Video calling on these platforms. The HD calls quality offered by Skype scores high over average call quality offered by Viber. The desktop version of Viber has yet not earned any great reviews.

Final Word

Both the services are simple to use and install, and offer similar features. Hence, it may be difficult to decide on which one to go for. In all probability, you will end up using the service that is more popular with your own social network. Since Skype has been around for a long time, it has a larger user base. Chances are you would end up sticking to Skype with its seamless functions. However, if you are a frequent user of the service and wish to make international calls to mobile phones of other recipients, you may want to get comfortable with Viber on your mobile phone.

If you are still undecided on which app to download, you can download both, as these are free apps. Use the one that suits your needs. If you still have not tried out Viber, make sure you experience it and share your review with our friends!

VoIP can reduce Phone call rate tariff charges

Ways switching to VoIP can solve budget and communication woes

When companies look to evaluate their budgets' needs or make decisions to cut costs, expensive and wasteful phone bills may be a good place to start. By investing in a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) system, needing a large phone contract can be a thing of the past.

One advantage of the service can be free long distance calling, according to The Digest. Most business VoIP systems offer unlimited calling all over the nation, because as VoIP calls are made over the Internet instead of analog telephone wires, their costs can be reduced. That means expensive long-distance, interstate and even international fees can be a thing of the past. Most providers' basic plans will provide unlimited calling within the United States and Canada, and premium plans can go intercontinental for little or no extra money.

VoIP providers can also provide mobile apps easily downloaded onto employees' smartphones, laptops, tablets or other devices that can connect to the Internet, no matter where employees may be. This can cut down sharply on telephone and cellular expenses, removing a need for pricey monthly plans, and when employees work from home or areas with wireless internet, business call costs can drop drastically. Increased mobility will also make employees more efficient, especially saving for employees who frequently travel.

Easier to manage
Having a VoIP system is easier than ever today, as new advances in cloud technology can keep systems largely free of any expensive or complicated reworking of offices, according to Arizona's KTAR.com. Now, it's possible for a VoIP system to be controlled completely over the Internet using wireless technology, allowing for an easier-than-ever transition to the service on top of cost savings.

Adding office extensions to a VoIP plan can be very inexpensive as well, as rates can run as low as $20 per month for unlimited plans, complete with calls across North America. For companies who don't want to pay for unlimited services, they can receive lower rates.

The flexibility of VoIP is also a plus for companies looking to coordinate multiple locations, as inter-office communication can be done for free using the service. Why should a company have to pay to communicate with itself?

VoIP to make cheap phone call rates

Using VoIP to escape phone companies and gain new features

Use VoIP to escape phone companies and gain new features
Phone systems in 2013, especially if they haven't been updated in years, can hurt businesses far more than they can help. Outdated systems can drop calls, make it hard for customers to get in touch and even slow the rate of production, all of which can negatively impact revenue and efficiency for an organization. Instead of relying on archaic systems that will only continue to slow down your employees, switching to VoIP, or voice over Internet protocol, can cut down on the frequent annoyances modern phones hold.

Above all else, dealing with telecom providers can be a hassle and a half. Their plans are often overpriced and under-featured, which can lead to expensive monthly bills filled with maintenance markups, which become necessary when the overcomplicated systems fail. Instead, turning to VoIP can drastically cut down on both frustration and bills, according to Newswire. Most VoIP systems offer their own phone systems, which will be streamlined and easy to use from the beginning, while slicing their monthly costs. That means you'll be paying less, getting more and won't be trying to learn unnecessary tricks just to get your systems working.

If you already have Internet in your office, which in most industries is a necessity, you're already halfway to installing VoIP. The ease-of-use involved in using the service is second to none, as it uses your existing Internet connection with no extra cost to you. Take advantage of what you already have at your fingertips.

Easy to transfer and control
Transferring your phone numbers when switching to a VoIP provider is easy, and once you've made the switch, getting onto the grid can be as easy as plugging in your phone. Other features included in most VoIP services include easy recording, clicking on phone numbers to directly dial them (no phone number entry required) and automating your incoming calls' direction, making your daily business easier than ever.

The massive adoption rates latching onto VoIP should be a good indicator of the technology's popularity. Almost one billion people are expected to use at least one VoIP application this year, according to Mobile World Live, with more sure to join them soon.

Google reportedly set to integrate Google Voice features and VoIP calling into Hangouts

Google is soon dropping Google Voice and rolling it into the Hangouts apps on both Android and iOS, according to a recent report. With certain Google Voice functionality already making its way onto the Hangouts apps and more recently SMS integration for Android, it looks as though Google will continue to expand its all-in-one communications app as expected.

Google has been slowly integrating many of its communication services into Google Hangouts, before the Voice functionality overlaps and SMS integration, we saw both Messenger and Talk roll over as well. Like the report mentions, it is likely we will be seeing more of this type of consolidation from Google down the line as more and more of these types of services get rolled into a single application. Apple has also been bringing more of its communications services and features into a more unified location with respect to FaceTime and iMessages.

Another interesting feature said to be a possibility here is that we could see the phone calling via VoIP functionality available on Gmail through the web slide over into Hangouts, according to the report. This could potentially allow users to have a fully enabled smartphone with just a data plan, likely something carriers will not take kindly to.

At this point there is no official word on this, but we could see an announcement in the coming months just in time for Google I/O.
